Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University in Grahamstown
Dr. Gooding joined the Life University faculty in 2006 to teach Diagnosis, CLET and Technique courses. He remained on the faculty until 2014, during which time he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Taking a hiatus from teaching, he worked in healthcare administration at a hospital system in Northeast Georgia for four years. In 2018 he returned to Life University. to take up the position of Division Chair, Clinical Sciences. Following his tenure in that seat he was appointed Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement for the Life University Clinic System, continuing in this role until reuniting with the Clinical Sciences faculty in 2021.
Dr. Gooding has served as chair of several university committees including Dismissal Appeals for the CGUS, COE and COC, the Clinic Peer Review Committee, the Quality Management Group, the Quality Assurance Committee, and has sat on numerous other ad-hoc committees and task groups. He has also been a member of the Life University Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Clinic Council and has represented Life University on the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) test development committees. He has been the recipient of research and scholarly activity awards and was granted the Faculty Award by the Life University June 2013 graduating class.
Hailing from Johannesburg South Africa, Dr. Gooding earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University in Grahamstown and thereafter attended Life University in Marietta on a rugby scholarship where he was a member of the Life Running Eagles 2000 Super League national championship winning team. He received his DC degree in 2001.
