Dr. Samples is a social psychologist with extensive experience in academia. She has held positions as Program Coordinator and Department Chair of Psychology, General Education, and Positive Human Development and Social Change at Life University. Dr. Samples earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of South Florida, followed by her Master's and Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Samples expertise extends to teaching a range of graduate and undergraduate courses, both in online and traditional formats, such as Social Psychology, Research Methods, Positive Psychology, Positive Leadership, Science of Happiness, and Art of Self-Care, Psychology of Forgiveness and Positive Organizational Scholarship.

Dr. Samples is a certified facilitator in Compassion and Integrity Training (CIT) and a Co-Founding Fellow of the Center for Compassion, Integrity, and Secular Ethics (CCISE) at Life University. She is also actively engaged in research focused on exploring the operationalization and conceptualization of mercy, as well as its practical expression. She is also currently in the final stages of obtaining her International Coaching Federation certification, which will further enhance her ability to support individuals and organizations in their pursuit of personal and collective growth.
