BIOGRAPHY
Education
B.S. Medical Technology, Drexel University
M.S., Ph.D., Statistics, Temple University
In the past 20 years, I have been teaching at colleges and universities in Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania. Prior to full-time teaching, I worked for 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry conducting clinical trials of human and animal drug products, and human medical devices.
In addition to teaching roles, I was the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (2004-2008) and Program Director, Math and Natural Science, Clearwater Campus (2002-2004) at a college in Florida.
My teaching philosophy focuses on active and collaborative learning; students learn by doing. Face-to-face, blended and online classes include activities that encourage students to think about concepts and apply those concepts to real-world problems. I'm also a very engaged online instructor, maintaining contact with my students on a regular basis though emails, phone calls, and course announcements.
