Dr. Plotkina attended the Medical Institute in Kharkov, Ukraine, where she earned her Medical Doctor degree. She has completed post-doctoral education in Pediatrics and Gastroenterology (2 years of Clinical Residency) in Kharkov Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Kharkov, Ukraine.
Later she attended Life University, Marietta, Georgia where she earned Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
She has over 17 years of clinical experience as a physician-pediatrician, gastroenterologist, and acupuncturist in hospital in Kharkov (Ukraine). She is an expert in Medicine, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Ultrasound Diagnostics, and Pediatric Neuropathology.
She works 14 years in private practice as independent chiropractor.
Dr. Olena Plotkina is currently a faculty member of Life University, College of Chiropractic, in Marietta, GA, and holds the rank of Associate Professor in Division of Clinical Sciences, and part-time in Basic Sciences.
Currently, she is the lead instructor in the courses of Clinical Laboratory Studies, Gastroenterological Diagnosis, Immunology and Disease Pattern, which are integrated courses that blended classroom and clinical knowledge to allow the students to move into student clinic.
