Dr. B.J. Harman received his first two chiropractic adjustments at the age of 24 while working in corporate retail management and pursuing an M.B.A. in marketing. Those two adjustments caused him to make a 180 degree change that resulted in enrollment in what was then Life Chiropractic College, graduating in December of 1980.

From 1980-1991, Dr. Harman was the Associate Director of the Family Practice of Chiropractic in Margate, Florida supervising the hiring and training of numerous associate doctors of chiropractic as well as the support staff of chiropractic assistants. At the same time, Dr. Harman was adjusting upwards of two hundred patients per day. However, health forced another 180 degree change that brought him and his family back to Marietta to teach at Life University until 1999.

Dr. Harman was the co-founder of Now You Know, a company dedicated to the assisting chiropractors in educating their patients utilizing the Internet. Following a period of unprecedented growth, Now You Know was emailing over 225,000 email newsletters to the subscribing doctor’s patients, hosting over 600 chiropractic websites, and providing content for streaming into the doctor’s reception areas.

Dr. Harman, then returned to Life University in 2013 to teach multiple chiropractic management and entry-level clinic classes on an adjunct basis. When an opportunity to teach anatomy opened up, he jumped at the chance to be able to explain chiropractic from the anatomical perspective and the importance of understanding the relationship of the nervous system to all the other bodily systems.
