Dr. Brooke Shriner is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in stroke and brain injury rehabilitation. She is an experienced online course developer, having written/designed an entire course catalog for an online psychology program. She has taught online undergraduate psychology courses for multiple schools over the past 15 years. Passionate about asynchronous distance education, Dr. Shriner owns and operates a small business that trains both experienced and new faculty in online teaching and course design best practices.
At Life University, Dr. Shriner most often teaches Personality Psychology, Intro to Social Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Quantitative Methods in Psychology, and Psychology of Excellence. She enjoys the curiosity, mind-body awareness, team spirit, and intellect that Life University students bring to their course work.
When she isn’t teaching online or creating student-centered online courses, Dr. Shriner can be found walking her two mini-Aussies around the neighborhood, knitting or crocheting, reading a good book, listening to a good podcast, or building mid-century modern clocks with her husband in their woodshop. Her young son is always able to pull her away from the computer to build micro-terrariums or go for a long bike ride.
