Student Achievement Goals and Outcomes

Retention

College of Chiropractic cohorts will achieve a 1st-year retention rate of 90% or higher, a 2nd-year retention rate of 85% or higher, and a 3rd-year retention rate of 80% or higher.
 

Completion Rates

70% of the College of Chiropractic students will complete the Doctor of Chiropractic program within 150% of the time normally designated for completion of the DC degree.

This metric is in accordance with the Council on Chiropractic Education Accrediting Agency – Policy 56

Normal Length of Program: 14 quarters.

National Board of Chiropractic Examiners

80% of the College of Chiropractic Graduates will pass all parts of the National Board of Chiropractic Examination within six months post-graduation.

Retention

Undergraduate student cohorts will achieve a 1st year retention rate of 75% or higher, a 2nd year retention rate of 60% or higher, and a 3rd year retention rate of 50% or higher.

Graduation Rates

Undergraduate students will achieve a 4-year (100%) graduation rate* of 30% or higher, and a 6-year (150%) graduation rate* of 43% or higher.

Dietetic Internship Program

GOAL 1: Upon completion of the program, the dietetic internship graduate will be qualified and prepared for a variety of career opportunities in the field of Dietetics.

Objective 1: At least 80% of interns complete program requirements within 13.5 months (150% of planned program length).

Objective 3: At least 80 percent of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.

Dietetic Program — Didactic

GOAL 1: Program graduates will be prepared with a broad educational knowledge and skills for successful entry and completion of the supervised dietetic internship program.

Objective 1: At least 80% of students complete program requirements within 6 years (150% of planned program length).

Goal 1: Objective 1- At least 80% of studnets complete program requirements within 3 years (150% of program length).

Objective 2: At least 80 percent of program graduates apply for admission to a supervised practice program prior to or within 12 months of graduation.

Objective 3: Of program graduates who apply to a supervised practice program, at least 60 percent are admitted within 12 months of graduation.

Objective 4: 80% of those graduates who are not accepted or not applied to a dietetic internship within the academic year they complete the DPD will seek further training or obtain employment.

Objective 5: 80% of the IP Directors will feel the graduates of the Life University DP are prepared for the IP.        

GOAL 2: Program graduates will effectively perform job responsibilities of any entry level position in the field of nutrition and dietetics and or pursuing an advanced degree.

Objective 1 The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within on year of first attempt) on CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.

Objective 2: 80% of the DPD graduates who desire employment will obtain a position in their field of study within 12 months of graduation.   

Objective 3: 90% of employers of the DPD graduates who take position in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics feel Life University graduates are well prepared for their position.
