Chiropractic Program Admission Information
For all categories of applications, the Office of Enrollment (Admissions) maintains communications and files. Recommendations for admission status are sent directly to the Dean of the College of Chiropractic or to the Admissions Committee. The Dean of the College confirms recommendations for admission status, including denial.
The College of Chiropractic strives to admit a diverse student population. It is at the discretion of the Admissions Committee and/or the Dean to set additional conditions or stipulations for the acceptance, if deemed necessary.
The study of the philosophy, art and science of Chiropractic is comprehensive, challenging and demanding. Every chiropractor is expected to be a professional leader and an example of good character and goodwill in the community. The University, therefore, has set standards for admissions.
Doctor of Chiropractic Admission Requirements
In compliance with the Council on Chiropractic Education Admission Requirements, Standard G, Life University has the following requirements for admission into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program, effective January 1, 2025:
For full admission, a student must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, awarded from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or an equivalent foreign agency. In addition, they must also have a minimum of 24 semester credit hours in life and physical sciences.
Alternatively, a student may matriculate into the program having obtained 90 semester credit hours at an institution(s) accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. department of Education or an equivalent foreign agency if those students have:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the best 90 semester credit hours OR
- A cumulative GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 on a 4.0 scale for the best 90 semester credit hours with a minimum of 24 semester credits in life and physical science courses
