As part of Welcome Week, we are hosting a get together in the Commons with the many student groups who represent the diverse culture we have here at Life University. This will be an opportunity to highlight the importance of intersectionality in community building and also to provide a fun and relaxing environment for new students to find other likeminded people as they start their journey at Life.

Today, we celebrated Juneteenth at Life University with a special event honoring our Black graduates. As they embark on their next chapter, I had the privilege of presenting them with Kente graduation cords, symbolizing their heritage, resilience, and academic excellence.

The celebration was filled with reflection and pride as we acknowledged the significance of this historic day and the achievements of our students. A heartfelt thank you to the Life U Black Faculty & Staff Association for organizing today’s memorable celebration.

Happy Juneteenth to all! #LifeU #Juneteenth #BlackExcellence

Today, Life University`s leadership—Harrison Davis, Jr., Chief Diversity Officer; Marc P. Schneider, V.P. of Operations; Jana Holwick, V.P. of Academic Affairs & Provost; and Cedric Gaddy, Chief Financial Officer—proudly wear jeans to observe Denim Day, an international campaign to combat sexual violence. Originating as a protest against victim blaming, Denim Day is a day when people wear jeans to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault. On this significant day, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we stand united to emphasize our commitment to education, prevention, and promoting a safe, respectful environment on campus. #DenimDay #LifeU #SupportSurvivors.
